Broadway Leading Lady, Marin Mazzie.

(Video Tribute) Happy Birthday to divalicious Tony Nominee, Marin Mazzie!!

There are not very many actresses who can tout that they have been nominated for an Olivier Award, Drama Desk Awards, AND the coveted TONY Award. But Marin Mazzie, the redhead with the vocal range of a young Julie Andrews, has received nominations by all three (and some more than once). Born in Rockford, Illinois, she has appeared in 10 Broadway shows, starting with her as debut as Mary Jane Wilkes in the original company of Big River in 1985. She would be seen in the original companies of Into the Woods, Passion, Ragtime, Spamalot, and Next to Normal; and in the revivals of Man of La Mancha, and Kiss Me Kate. Married to fellow Broadway vet, Jason Danieley (with whom she co-starred in Next to Normal) since 1997; Mazzie continues surprise us with her range. She last appeared in New York Off-Broadway as Margaret White  in the critically acclaimed, revised revival of Carrie the musical, for which she was nominated for the Drama Desk. We look forward to seeing what the “Mazzie Star” has in store for us next, we can’t wait to see her on stage again soon!
