It’s official. The Harold Prince review style show, The Prince of Broadway will land in Osaka in less than two years. The show that will feature segments from some of Prince’s greatest achievments (Phantom of the Opera, Evita, Cabaret, Follies, Sweeney Todd, etc.) will be choreographed, and co-directed by the illustrious Susan Stroman. New York audiences are missing out on this landmark premiere because Prince lost the necessary backing for the show here in the U.S.. It is now being put up by Japanese investors. Stars attached to the project are Sierra Boggess, Richard Kind, and Emily Skinner. We can only pray that this show is a success, and that The Prince of Broadway will bow where it all took place. Hopes are high for a 2016 Broadway opening.
